Vu Phong Energy Group accompanies the DigiTrans Edtech 2022 competition on digital transformation in education

DigiTrans Edtech 2022 is a contest to seek and promote highly practical digital transformation ideas in the sphere of education while simultaneously creating a national innovation playground for students and start-ups. This contest has been supported by Vu Phong Energy Group, a practical effort toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, including Goal 4: Ensure quality education for all.

The DigiTrans Edtech 2022 contest with the topic “Digital transformation application in education” was held by the Saigon Hi-Tech Park Incubation Center (SHTP-IC) in partnership with KDI Education, under the supervision of the Board of Management of Saigon Hi-Tech Park, HCMC Department of Science and Technology, Thu Duc City People’s Committee. The contest has accompanied by Vu Phong Energy Group, Science and Technology Department of Thu Duc City, Education and Training Department of Thu Duc City, VNU-HCM Innovative Entrepreneurship Center (IEC), VNU-HCM Information Technology Park (ITP),… and a number of socio-political agencies, units and organizations, enterprises with expertise in applying digital transformation in Vietnam’s socio-economic activities.

Group A comprises students and startups, while Group B comprises high school students. (high school and middle school). This is the distinction between this year’s competition and prior years. Students will be able to express their desires for technology and smart schools if there are more exam boards, contributing to the creation of a multifaceted picture of digital transformation activities in education.

The contest is expected to attract more than 1,000 participants from Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Long An, and Tien Giang… DigiTrans Edtech 2022 will focus on in-depth training and consultation on technological areas for digital transformation in education, such as STEM, innovative thinking, programming, automation, and artificial intelligence; enhance construction and project development basic skills. Through the contest, projects will be finished, ideas and products will be developed, and participants will have the chance to obtain high-value rewards, chances for collaboration, and commercialization of partner units’ products.

Accompanying the DigiTrans Edtech 2022 contest is the next meaningful activity of Vu Phong Energy Group in our efforts towards sustainable values, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Goal 4 – Ensure quality education for all, Goal 8 – Decent work and economic growth.

Before that, Vu Phong Energy Group was involved in a number of programs to accompany and empower students’ talents, including: awarding annual scholarships to students at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology; sponsoring technology, start-up, and innovation contests (Series of Creative Idea Contest (CiC), series of IoT Startup contests…); collaboration on career guidance, training, and recruiting with universities (including Hue University); participating in exhibitions, sharing information about the clean energy industry with students; and assisting with projects to build schools in highland and rural areas.

Besides, Vu Phong Energy Group is also a collective member of the Club “For beloved Hoang Sa-Truong Sa” which is part of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund – the unit has been implementing many meaningful programs and projects for students, who are children of naval soldiers and fishermen, have difficult circumstances.
