A Leading Renewable Energy Enterprise
With over 14 years of dedicated formation and development, Vu Phong Energy Group has solidified its reputation as a premier professional solar power developer and a top-tier renewable energy enterprise in Vietnam. The company has successfully completed and commissioned 54 MWp of rooftop solar power for industrial and commercial clients, with an additional 20 MWp currently under development. Furthermore, Vu Phong has been actively involved in the construction, operation, and maintenance (O&M) of numerous solar power plant projects, cumulatively totaling 765 MWp.
Despite the economic challenges and policy adjustments concerning solar power in 2022, Vu Phong Energy Group’s Board of Directors strategically directed the Executive Board to prioritize the development of industrial and commercial projects, particularly through the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) cooperation model. This focus led to the successful completion and transfer of several significant projects in 2022 and early 2023, including the 3.39 MWp Vinamilk Mega project, Dalat Worsted Spinning (DWS) with 2.04 MWp, Tetra Pak with 1.23 MWp, and Nippon Seiki with 1 MWp. Currently, the company is implementing a 20 MWp portfolio, featuring the Hwaseung Enterprise project at 12.5 MWp, Kem Nghia at 2.23 MWp, and Duy Tan Plastic at 2.27 MWp, alongside Quang Quan with 3.5 MWp. Vu Phong is also actively engaged in negotiations to finalize agreements for new rooftop solar projects under the PPA model with various prominent Vietnamese businesses.
A Pioneer in Carbon Neutrality
Beyond its core services in investing, developing, providing General Contractor EPC services, and offering operation and maintenance (O&M) and asset management for clean energy projects, Vu Phong Energy Group is increasingly focused on the carbon credits and I-REC certificates business areas for 2023 and beyond. The company provides expert advisory services to clients on achieving carbon neutrality and implementing sustainable management principles like ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This strategic focus enables Vu Phong to effectively support business customers in their pursuit of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and advancing strategies for carbon neutrality and sustainable development. Currently, Vu Phong Energy Group stands as a pioneering organization dedicated to assisting Ho Chi Minh City in its efforts to lower greenhouse gas emissions, with an internal goal of achieving carbon neutrality from 2023 to 2028.
